CMU is ranked 37th nationally, with an average score of 193.513 through two meets. Eastern Michigan is ranked 41st (193.388). CMU's highest ranking is 23rd in floor, where it is averaging 48.775. Eastern's highest ranking is on bars, where it averages 49.025. Chippewa freshman captured the all-around in the win over Western Michigan with a 39.050. The Chippewas also got victories from (beam), (floor) and (bars). The Eagles defeated Rutgers in a nonconference meet last weekend, posting a 194.725 score, the third time this season they have recorded that total.

Eastern's Kendall Valentin won bars with a 9.900 in the meet. Eastern took three of the top four spots in the event. Valentin was named the MAC Specialist of the Week this week. Eastern Michigan is the defending MAC champion. The Eagles' first-place finish at the MAC Championships last March was the second league crown in program history.
